Celebrating International Women’s Day with an island-wide School Essay Competition! This powerful initiative by the International Women’s Development Foundation aimed to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment among students.
The competition highlighted how schools play a pivotal role in instilling values of respect, equality, and justice while also addressing systemic barriers that hinder women’s progress. By engaging young minds, IWDF encouraged students to reflect on the importance of empowering women and fostering inclusive societies.
This initiative strengthened youth engagement in gender equality advocacy and helped cultivate future leaders committed to a just and equitable Sri Lanka.
